The founder

Zubair Ahmed

After years of working with — and growing — multiple tech startups as a technology consultant and software engineer, Zubair started AK Stuudio. The brief he gave himself was simple, and demanding: build exceptional software, with the craft he had spent those years sharpening.

He is a growth person by temperament. Not growth as a metric on a dashboard, but as a way of seeing the world — that something well made can travel further than the room it was built in. He believes innovation is one of the most generous forces we have: it returns value, again and again, toward the betterment of humanity.

Innovation is not a private luxury. It is a way of leaving the world more capable than we found it.

Why AK

Named for Al-Khwarizmi

The letters AK stand for Al-Khwarizmi — the ninth-century scholar whose name gave the world the word algorithm. Zubair was inspired by that lineage: the idea that thought, arranged with enough care, can change how civilisation computes, builds, and progresses.

AK Stuudio is named in that spirit. Not as a museum of the past, but as a studio that still believes in the old promise of the algorithm — that a precise idea, generously applied, can become useful to many.

Beyond the studio

A life of looking outward

Zubair loves travelling. He has been to over twelve countries so far — and counting. The maps stay open after the trips end. He has a deep interest in history, geography, and geopolitics: he can name every country in the world, and he knows their flags.

He invests his time in reading and in learning new things. Psychology fascinates him — the quiet mechanics of how people think, choose, and change. Languages, too. He is currently learning French and Spanish, one conversation at a time.
